Mark Daly and The Ravens kick off US Winter tour with fiery headline show.
2024 looks like it’s going to be a huge year for Mark Daly and The Ravens! The guys kicked off their first tour of the year with a mix of headline shows and a series of support shows for Mr. Big’s “The Big Finish 23/24 tour. The band also has a hot new single “I Wanna Be More” releasing on Friday, February 2nd AND their new album Devil’s Arms is set to be released a bit later this winter.
The infectious rocker from Cork Ireland, along with his International band featuring fellow Irishmen James Brown and Cillian Plummer on guitar, Scottish based bassist Jack Ross and Cincinnati, OH local Danny Laverde on drums treated a packed house with a fun and lively set that was nothing but pure energy from the opening chords.
Tonight’s musical journey featured a little of this (songs of his newest EP Nothing To Lose – released last December including “Gotta Run,” “Crying Shame” and an absolute banger of a song called “Nothing to Lose”) and a little of that (“Drop Dead” from the recently released maxi-single) mixed in with a few never before played live songs “Devil’s Arms” and the aforementioned single “I Wanna Be More”. The evening epitomized what live music shows are all about; great music, making connections, having fun, full of positive energy and letting loose and Mark Daly and The Ravens served up a great big helping of all of that plus some.
Opening the evening was The Bell and the Bear’s house band who rolled through a fun and energetic set of cover songs including Night Ranger’s “Don’t tell Me you Love Me” and AC/DC’s “Live Wire” that had the whole venue hootin’ and hollerin’.
