Them Dirty Roses at Riverfront Live in Cincinnati, OH 24-MAR-23

Them Dirty Roses takes Cincinnati by “Storm” with The Josephines.

It didn’t matter that the weather outside was a bit cold and rainy in Cincinnati as Alabama rockers Them Dirty Roses came to party and party they did!  In support of their recently released album Lost in the Valley of Hate & Love Vol. I (Which was released the week before on 03/17/2023) Them Dirty Roses rocked and rolled through a set covering songs from the aforementioned album as well as 2017’s self-titled EP.  Just to keep everything real, a wild rendition of The Allman Brothers cover of “Whipping Post” showcasing Frontman James Ford’s voice and energy.  Them Dirty Roses is James Ford with vocals & guitar, Andrew Davis on guitar, bassist Ben Crain and drummer Frank Ford.

It seems that rain, nor wind, now two flat tires and a van breakdown can stop The Josephines. Despite the pre-show mechanical issues and a short set-up and sound check time, the Josephines bounced on to the Riverfront Live stage bound and determined to have a good time and bring everyone else along with them.  And a good time is exactly what was had as The Josephines rolled through a almost hour long set that included band mainstays and fan favorites “Satansfield”, “Bayou Baby,” “Set Me On Fire” and “Broadway”.  As usual, the guys ended the evening with a raucous rendition of “Fireball”, closing their set with a huge exclamation point and cheers from all in attendance.

The Josephines are Brad Tabor (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin), Zach Lindsey (lead guitar, vocals), Alex Lindsey (lead guitar, pedal steel, lap steel, vocals), bassist Lee Williams, and David Page (drums, percussion).
