All In: Thank You for taking the time to talk with us today.

Let’s start off with a little band introduction. Tell me a little bit about you guys, where you all came from?  How Long have you been playing together? Where do you draw your musical influences from?

Ryan Bicknell: I started playing with Nick and Alec about 3 years ago and since then we had to replace our bassist and singer. So Joe has been playing with us for about a year now I’d say. And Logan (Lead singer Logan Manganelli) started playing with us about 6 months ago.

Our musical influence comes from all over honestly. Sometimes people will say a word and a lightbulb goes off in my head. But really just all the big bands in history. Avenged to Sabbath, Linkin Park to Pantera, and so on and so forth.

All In: Another Day’s Armor just released the official music video for your single, “Death Investing”.   The song is pretty cool and the video, with the alternating red lighting and then the single light and the simple black background is as awesome!  The video was filmed by Alex Kouvatsos at Blackwolf Imaging, correct?   How was that process?

Ryan Bicknell: Yup. Alex is the man. We told him we wanted a simple idea with a dark vibe to fit the song and he knew just what to do. We shot for a couple hours and then a week later he already had the video edited and finished the way you see it now first shot. The guy knows what he is doing and he is as awesome as a person as he is as a director. I highly recommend working with him.

All In: In 2017 you guys released singles “Reflections” and “Simple As Sin” and then “Death Investing” last month and you have your debut EP that is set to release this summer?  Seems you have a lot of good things going on!  What can you tell me about the writing and recording process for the EP and do you have a favorite track?

Ryan Bicknell: The writing is actually fairly simple. Nick has been the main writer for almost all of the music thus far and he honestly just crushed every song. We’re so proud of this EP and can’t wait for everyone to hear it. I honestly don’t even think I could pick a favorite lol they’re all so good and their own little beings that each song has something different to offer the listener.

All In: You have been out recently with Trivium and Mushroomhead, Do you have any upcoming tours or shows planned?   Where can we see ADA live?

Ryan Bicknell:  Nothing planned as of yet. There has been a little talk about potentially doing a short run down the east coast sometime in the fall but nothing set in stone yet.

All In:  Can you tell me a little bit about what you would expect from a live ADA show?

Ryan Bicknell: Prepare to move. Our songs seem to translate into a high energy live and people just start going nuts.

All In: What are you currently listening to?  What’s in heavy rotation on your Spotify or what are you guys into right now music wise?  I love to ask this question because the answers are sometimes so unexpected.  I’ve gotten everything from Dean Martin and the Rat pack to Willie Nelson to A-ha!  It’s always interesting to know what other people are listening to.

Ryan Bicknell: It really depends on the day for me. Some days I’m listening to blues like Jared James Nichols, John Mayer or Clapton. Other days I’m listening to rap, sometimes I’m listening to country. I even listen to classical music and gypsy jazz sometimes. So it really depends. I just put my phone on shuffle and see what comes on and strikes my interest.

All In: Is there anything/message you want to leave for the ADA fans?

Ryan Bicknell: Thank you guys for all the support with Death Investing thus far. We can’t wait for you guys to hear the rest of the EP and we hope to see you guys on the road very soon!

All In: Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to talk!

Ryan Bicknell: Thank you! It’s been a pleasure.
