The Rocketz and Vice Tricks at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville, KY

A wild evening of punk rock and rockabilly greets Louisville fans as The Rocketz and Vice Tricks dominate with energetic performances.

All the way from the Southern California Psychobilly scene, The Rocketz walk onto the Headliners stage meaning business.  Blending high energy rockabilly with classic old school punk rock, The Rocketz Draw influence from bands like Social Distortion, The Reverend Horton Heat, and Bad Religion while forging its own unique sound. The Rocketz have been touring constantly, playing shows and festivals since 2009.

With guitarist and lead singer Tony Slash leading the way along with Nick “Chango” Anchondo powering through on the upright bass, The Rocketz set includes “Bob’s A Zombie,” “Before the Night,” and “Pretty Fucked Up” from their most recent album I’m Coming Home. During their 45-minute set, The Rocketz included fan favorites “Gunfighter,” “Label on the Bottle,” “KILLING,” and “Robot Rock” that has the venue jumping from the word go!

Louisville’s local psychobilly rock standouts, Vice Tricks close out the evening with a high energy set of original music.  Vice Tricks, featuring the dominating duo of Verity Vice ripping it up on the double bass along with King doing the same on guitar and vocals, draw you in with their old-school 50’s-60’s rock and roll vibe mixed in with vintage punk rock energy. 

 All the way from Budapest, Hungary vintage punk rock and rollers The Silver Shine delivers a thoroughly entertaining set. With Krista Kat ruling the upright bass and guitarist Ati EDGE doing the same on the guitar, The Silver shine starts off fast with a cover and their newest video, of legendary country music queen, Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” in a “vintage punk rock and roll” flavor that stands out. 

Touring in support of their upcoming album Reloaded, released on August 31st, The Silver Shine perform several songs from the album including “In the Middle of Nowhere,” The Chased,” “Dreams” and “Just Make Your Guns”

Along the way, an alluring cover of Janis Joplin’s “Mercedes Benz” featuring Krista Kat’s seductive vocals provides a high point in the set.  The Silver Shine close the evening with a raucous cover of a song Muddy Waters popularized in the late 50’s “Got My Mojo Working” leaving the room a buzz.

Louisville’s greatest Wild West Heavy metallers, Stagecoach Inferno open the evening with a scorching set of original metal. Featuring the antics of guitarist Stephen Casciato, the non-stop, hair whipping of guitarist Brennan Jesse Ray and the demonstrative Hunter Correll on bass, Stagecoach starts off fast and furious with “The Dead and The Damned” from their debut album A Town Called Atonement and never let up.  

“Blood in my Boots,” “Ol’ Soulbelcher,” and “Hammer and Tongs immediately follow before Stagecoach Inferno close out their set in epic fashion with a blazing rendition of “Black Blizzard” that has everyone’s “horns in the air”.
